Impuls Forschung programme to support collaborative research

Call for proposals

The Hanse University Alliance (HUA) supports the initiation, consolidation andexpansion of research collaborations between its member universities and provides financial support for this via the Impuls Forschung programme.

The aim of the programme is to initiate new interdisciplinary research networks, strengthen collaborative synergies in research, sharpen the HUAs research profile and make collaborative research more visible.

The funds advertised are primarily intended to be used for networking (Module A) and applying for trilateral research projects (Module B). The funds available are limited to €1,500 (Module A) and €5,000 (Module B).

For further questions, please contact the Hanse University Alliance office, Dr Katharina Einert (geschaeftsfuehrung@hanseuniversityalliance.de / 04131/677-1444), or your local research advisor.

Funding

Funding is available depending on the module applied for (see below) up to a maximum of €1,500 (Module A) and €5,000 (Module B).

In principle, the personnel and material costs required to carry out the project are admissible for funding in accordance with the respective financial regulations. External partners of the HUA are not eligible for funding.
The activities to be funded should be completed within six months of the start of funding.

The funds will be transferred by the HUA office at Leuphana University (HUA spokesperson university) to the beneficiary university in advance of the project. Applicants will submit their accounts for the projects to the respective university.

Any funds not spent after completion of the measure will be refunded to the office. A report on the completed measures is to be submitted to the office no later than six months after the start of funding.

Requirements

Proposals can only be submitted by applicants with a doctorate from one of the above-mentioned institutions.

Funding is available for projects aimed at exchanging and developing ideas for research projects in the HUA network and for applying for funding (meetings, workshops, symposia, open access publications, etc.).

A prerequisite for funding is therefore the existence of a topic or idea for a joint research project to be applied for by partners from at least three HUA universities (Module B). The focus of the programme is on proposals
submitted to the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Application and decision procedures

Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically using the online form (below) or as a PDF file by email to the office. Submission deadlines: 30 June and 15 December.

In case of a change to another institution within the funding period, the applicant should immediately inform the Hanse University Alliance office and the previous member university and name a person to take over the project coordination.

The HUA Research Working Group decides jointly on the funding of individual projects. Notifications of funding will be sent to the beneficiaries within six weeks of the deadline.
