The management of the Association of North German Universities was transferred to the University of Greifswald on 16 May 2014.
During the General Meeting of the presidents and rectors of the Association of North German Universities on 29 January 2014 in Hamburg, Prof. Dr. Johanna Eleonore Weber, rector of the University of Greifswald, was unanimously elected as new spokesperson for the next three years. She replaces Prof. Dr Babette Simon, President of Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, at the head of the association.
The office was moved to the University of Greifswald on 16 May 2014. The new managing director is Mr. Pedro Schönle-Sithoe.
