Today, the presidents and rectors of the universities of the Association of North German Universities (Verbund Norddeutscher Universitäten) came to Lübeck for their General Meeting.
Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Prommer, the new rector of the University of Rostock, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Timm-Giel, the president of the Technical University of Hamburg, attended for the first time. The integration of the TU Hamburg into the Association of North German Universities was discussed during the previous meeting. During this meeting, the cooperation agreement was formally signed. The members are looking forward to closer cooperation within the association.
Other topics included the strategic focus of the association and possible collaborations between member universities in the areas of study and teaching.
